CHARACTER
Name: Stefano
Canon: Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted
Gender: Male
Age: Unspecified
Wing Color: White
Canon Point: Right after the circus disaster in Rome.
Canon Point Explanation: I believe that in Luceti, pulling characters from an earlier canon point allows more room for development. (I wouldn't know what to do with them if they were pulled from end canon.) For Stefano, I wanted him to still be sticking with his ball balancing and juggling act, but still have that dream of doing the cannonball act.
History: Wiki Link
Personality: Stefano can be easily described as a perky, overemotional sea lion. A member of the once-popular Circo Zaragoza, but the circus had been failing after an incident where Vitaly the Russian tiger had gotten burned while attempting to jump through a flaming ring-sized hoop. Stefano an entertainer at heart, always bubbly, and full of life and energy. He's by far the friendliest of the circus animals that the zoo animals (Alex, Marty, Gloria, and Melman) meet on the train in Europe, as he's the first one to break the initial awkward silence. He's easily impressionable, as he's immediately impressed by the "Trapeze Americano" act that the zoo animals make up on the spot while Vitaly and Gia are not so impressed. Stefano quickly offers to let the zoo animals accompany them, despite Vitaly's sharp (dagger sharp) protests.
His passion for the circus is perhaps greater than that of his circus-mates. He's had a lifelong dream of performing ahuman sea lion cannonball act, which he finally gains the courage to attempt after Alex inspires the circus animals to put together a newer, better show.
Stefano gets extremely attached to his friends, new and old. Helping him out makes you an instant BFF in his book, and friends will be subjected to many glomps (and maybe the occasional sloppy smooch on the cheek). He gets severely heartbroken when he loses a friend, breaking down in tears when they leave.
His mood can flip like a light switch. He can be broken down sobbing one minute, and then jumping with excitement the next. He is easily moved to tears, both of sadness and joy. He especially has a soft spot for children. He's most upset at the "tossing balloons to the children" part of the "Trapeze Americano" act being fake, but then when Alex and Gia successfully perform the maneuver, Stefano cries tears of joy.
Strengths
Physical: Stefano has a number of physical talents thanks to his circus acts. In the disaster show in Rome, his act is juggling while balancing on a ball. He also has some acrobatic abilities. When Vitaly throws daggers at a brick wall in a stairway pattern to help him get away from Captain Dubois, Stefano is able to jump and swing across them quite nimbly. He can also leap a long distance, as he leaps from the final dagger towards the flying circus (only to be snatched out of the air by Dubois's snare just a few inches short of reaching Vitaly).
Despite being a squishy sea lion, he doesn't get injured easily. He easily gets up after a fall, like when he fell off his ball and fell face-first to the ground in the Rome show. He jumped right back up and continued his disasterous performance. He shoots himself out of cannons (the first time had him crashing into the side of a mountain), and he comes out without serious injury. Even when he's slammed to the ground by Dubois's snare, Stefano easily musters the energy to scream for help.
Mental/Emotional: Stefano's love and passion for the circus is what ultimately saved it. In the disasterous circus performance in Rome, Stefano was the only one who tried to keep the show going, to remain bright and cheerful, only giving up when the entire audience had fled. Since the circus had been failing after the incident with Vitaly getting burned, it was Stefano who pleaded with Alex to help the circus regain its passion and create a brand new circus known as "Fur Power."
Stefano knows his friends quite well. He mostly ignores the daggers Vitaly throws at him on the train (though he does growl in annoyance), because he knows that Vitaly wouldn't actually try to hurt him.
Weaknesses ( Provide canon examples and include special powers/abilities as necessary. You may combine sections as needed, but remember to always be thorough.)
Physical: Stefano is a sea lion, and outside of his circus acts, he can't do much more than an ordinary sea lion can do. His Italian accent isn't exactly a weakness, but for some reason he's unable to pronounce the 'x' sound; therefore he prounounces "Alex" as "Alice."
Mental: He denies any compliments regarding his intelligence, describing it as "slightly below average." He's not terribly dumb, but he's not quite the brightest bulb in the box. He's easily gullible and impressionable, very easily impressed with the Trapeze Americano story that the Zoosters cook up on the train.
Emotional: Losing a friend really hurts for him, as he breaks down in tears when they leave. He cries when he learns that the zoo animals were never circus, and the "Trapeze Americano" story was fake. And then later he cries at the fact that they're gone, as the Fur Power circus just wouldn't be the same without them. In short, he cries a lot.

SAMPLES (ALL SAMPLES MUST BE SET IN THE LUCETIVERSE)
First Person: Ladies and gentlemen of-a Luceti! I have a great idea! Some of you may know, I was a part of the greatest circus in all of the Europa. We always believe-a that circus always stay together. So I say we can make a new circus, Luceti style! This is where I need your help. Tell me all of your talents. We put them together, make a new show. It will blow you away! It will be the greatest show in all of the Luceti!
Third Person: Stefano thought he had it now. After the show in Rome had turned out to be a disaster, he's been practicing his act. The circus meant everything to him, so if he didn't have his old circus, he'd just make a new one.
But first, he'd have to perfect the art of balancing on a colorful ball. The juggling part could wait until he got this down. Setting the ball in the plaza, Stefano carefully stepped on top of it and began to roll. So far, so good. He rolled a good ways without incident...until he crashed into a lamppost. At least he managed to stay on top of the ball. Carefully pulling away from the lamppost, Stefano rolled around it and rolled onward. Yes, he was sure he had it now! But then he began to slip on top of the ball, picking up speed, but unable to stop or control his direction.
"Ahh-ahh-aaaaahhhhh!" he cried out as he rolled straight towards the fountain. The ball hit the edge of the fountain, propelling him forward, crashing into the water with a terrific splash.
Stefano stood up in the water unharmed, at least physically, coughing out some excess water from his lungs. His head drooped, as his confidence was once again broken. Who was he kidding? His circus was nothing without Vitaly and his passion and fearlessness.
But Stefano loved the circus too much to just give up. He needed to find a new passion, a new inspiration. Maybe...maybe there were other circus stars in Luceti that could teach him a few things. Teach him some new acts, help him make a new show. It was definitely worth a shot. After all, circus always stayed together.
